Governance remains one of the critical challenges for sustainable forest management in Uganda. Despite several attempts by Government to sustainably manage the forests, the forest cover has reduced from 24% in 1990 to 9% in 2015. This decline in forest cover is largely attributed to poor governance of the forestry sector. This Forest Governance Training Manual is ACODE’s contribution towards enhancing forest governance in Uganda.
