The National Emergency Coordination and Operation Centre (NECOC), under the Ministry of Disaster Preparedness has a GEONETcast weather machine form WFP that forecasts accurate information on rainfall, soil moisture and vegetation. The center is responsible for managing systems for disaster and hazard early warning through data collection, situation analysis and rapid dissemination of information to disaster – prone areas.
